About us…

Welcome to our Casa La Mariposa adventure!

It all started with a spark. When we met in a salsa/bachata dance hall somewhere in the cold Netherlands, we quickly discovered our shared passion for Spain and a deep love of tapas, Spanish music and the Mediterranean climate.

We truly try to weave our passion into our lives. Together we founded our own Latin dance school, where we hear and feel Spanish music every day. And now the moment has come to share our passion for Spain and our brand-new guest house with you.

Even the search for THE house that matched our ideals was a wonderful journey with a beautiful outcome. We spent a year gathering everything we needed to turn this house into our little gem. Then we transported everything to Spain by lorry. A few weeks of hard graft, and just look at the result. Will you take a look with us at how it turned out?

We are privileged and very grateful to call this beautiful corner of Spain our second home. From the moment we set foot here, we felt an irresistible pull to this magical place, and we knew we wanted to create something very special - not just for ourselves, but to share this unforgettable experience with others.

Casa La Mariposa is a place our hearts are full of, and we love letting others enjoy this special spot too. We created this home with a great deal of care and attention, so it offers a warm and welcoming environment for everyone who stays here. To be honest, it was almost too beautiful to rent out. So you're truly in luck that this little jewel is available for you!

The name, “Casa La Mariposa,” is a tribute to the beautiful butterfly, a symbol of transformation and freedom. In several subtle places around the house you'll find delicate details honouring this special creation of nature, wrapping you in an atmosphere of enchantment.

We are in love with everything the Spanish lifestyle has to offer. From the delicious tapas to the breathtaking surroundings, not to mention the blissful climate - every day feels like a celebration of discovery and wonder.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Have just completed a very comfortable and relaxing 12 night stay at Casa La Mariposa. The apartment is very new and pristine and exactly as per the photos shown on the website. It was perfect for our group of three adults. It is very nicely appointed and equipped  with everything you could possibly need and more. The pool is fabulous. The complex is very private and gated. There is allotted car parking only a few yards from the apartment. The apartment is situated in a newly developed area and is just a few minutes walk to the nearest supermarket and bars. It is about a 15/20 minute safe stroll into the centre of Quesada where there are a large number of bars, restaurants and all other necessary amenities. Nearest beach is about a 10/15 minute drive. We booked directly with the owner which was a very easy and smooth transaction. Communication was fabulous, friendly and professional. We will definitely return as we regularly visit the area.

Lieve Kim en Lennie,
12 augustus was het dan zover. Ik ga naar het nieuwe appartement in Spanje, dat jullie zo bezig hield het afgelopen jaar. Er komt ontzettend veel bij kijken om het allemaal te laten slagen, maar uiteindelijk is het toch gelukt. Het kostte veel tijd en inspanning, maar het resultaat is er dan ook wel naar! Wat is het appartement smaakvol ingericht! Alles is op elkaar afgestemd qua stijl en kleur. Ook de tuin ziet er prachtig uit met de mooie palmboom, de tuinset en niet te vergeten de mooie bougainville.
Het appartement kijkt uit over het mooie zwembad, waarvan ik regelmatig gebruik heb gemaakt. Samen met Noa ballen e.d. met natuurlijk een wedstrijdje.
We hebben hier met z'n drietjes een heerlijke relaxte week gehad, waaraan ik nog vaak zal terugdenken.
Het was ontzettend heet, waardoor we de activiteiten wel wat hebben moeten aanpassen, maar dat neemt niet weg, dat ik ontzettend genoten heb van alles wat we hebben ondernomen.
Gezellig meerdere keren Uit Eten geweest, paar keer gekookt.
Superfijn om een auto hier te hebben! De Flamenco dinnershow, na een prachtige autorit door de bergen met zonsondergang bij een groot meer, was heel gezellig. Paar keer naar de zee, zelfs naar een hondenzwembad. Want laten we Teddy niet vergeten. Wat een lief beestje. Ze is zo ontzettend gemakkelijk!
Als laatste trip naar Alicante. Mooie, gezellige boulevard en ook gezellig uitgebreid gegeten op een mooi pleintje. Alles voor herhaling vatbaar.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Wij hebben genoten van ons verblijf in casa la mariposa. Prachtig ingericht, fijne bedden en mooie badkamer(s). In de ochtend heerlijk ontbijten op het terras, met uitzicht op het zwembad. Het zwembad is kindvriendelijk met ook een ondiep gedeelte voor de kleintjes.

Dineren bij wat leuke restaurantjes om de hoek (zoals pixtos) waar je lekkere tapas kan eten voor hele fijne prijzen. Ook is eten bij finca la vuelta een echte aanrader voor een echte avond uit en lang tafelen.
